Forestry and Agrifoods

In our society, some animals are considered a source of nutritious food (e.g. milk and meat) or other agricultural products (e.g. fibers such as wool) as well as potential reservoirs of diseases of concern to people. Other animals are considered to be companions. This section describes the various uses of animals in our agricultural industries as well as the diseases that can affect animals and humans.
